Weekend Programs

These programs are offered year-round, running for 8 - 12 weeks, meeting once a week. The extended timeline of this program builds community, confidence, and one-on-one relationships with educators, week after week. Weekly classes take place at the same park for two weeks in a row before transitioning to a new location. This structure allows children to fully immerse themselves in each environment, progressing from exploration and discovery to building knowledge and confidence.

Through meticulously crafted programs, our children will not only gain confidence in the great outdoors but also deepen their understanding of the intricate local ecosystems of the Pacific NorthWest through splashing in puddles, feeling the mud under their fingertips,  or even smelling the sea breeze they will be able to embrace the spirit of exploration without hesitation.

Every class is a unique adventure as our educators customize lesson plans to suit the individual needs and interests of each group. Grounded in a child-led and play-based philosophy, our programs foster environmental learning. With each semester and class, we observe the ever-evolving nature of our community's learning journey. Our teachers, the land, and our diverse group of children contribute invaluable knowledge and experiences, shaping the program in dynamic ways. This ensures that every class is a captivating experience, immersing students in the ever-changing wonders that only nature can provide.

Child-to-educator ratios are kept low to encourage intimate relationship building and to make space for child-led learning. Educators remain responsive to children's needs and levels of comfort and our dynamic lessons guide young learners out of their comfort zones while remaining supportive, safe, and fun.
