Exploration-based outdoor education for children. Developing confidence and comfort in the parks and natural areas of metro Vancouver.

Find Your Perfect Program

Whether they are exploring life within tidal pools or discovering the birds nesting overhead, we hope to help children develop a sense of place amongst nature, and feel a connection and obligation for environmental stewardship.

Weekend Programs

Semester programs are offered year-round, running for 8 - 12 weeks for children aged 2.5 -10, meeting once a week on Saturday and Sunday. This extended timeline of the program not only builds community, confidence, and one-on-one relationships with educators, week after week, but also fosters a sense of continuity

Week-long Camps

We offer spring and summer full-day, week-long camps that allow our children to explore, discover and have memorable adventures! Over the five days, children will have the opportunity to take a deep dive into a unique location, build confidence and gain new knowledge about the environment that they live in.

Special Programs

Looking for unforgettable experiences? Our special programs go beyond the ordinary, offering exciting options like birthday parties and school visits. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or enhancing classroom learning, our tailored experiences ensure every moment is filled with joy, discovery, and lasting memories.

What our parents are saying!

We respectfully acknowledge that the work of Oak Wisdom Learning is carried out on the Coast Salish ancestral, traditional and unceded territories of the Kwikwetlem, Tsleil-Waututh, Sto:Lo, Qayqayt, Squamish, Katzie, Kwantlen and Musqueam Nations. We acknowledge that it is for us to recognize our privilege on the land which we choose to live, play and teach. While this is only the first step towards reconciliation, the responsibility to respect Indigenous lands allows us to begin integrating their teachings into our programs. This allows us to adapt our programs to align our values so that our children will continuously recognize and understand the importance of the land and it’s history.

“Mom, you know what I love the most? It’s the nature out there, when will my next outdoor class start?” My 1st grader daughter Valerie keeps asking. At school, she has started to organize a forest club sharing knowledge about nature and ideas of how to respect the forest environment she learned from OWL with her friends. Her passion towards nature and love being outdoor even inspire the whole family to be more active outdoor and in our community. I know her passion started from the great experiences she had in OWL. I am so glad that she attended OWL throughout her early years, and seeing her making connections to nature and people, becoming more confident and resilient when exploring new things make me so proud. I can’t thank enough to Emily and her great team, for being so supportive and making the program fun and unique.

"Since Aurora started attending last summer, she’s become more confident and passionate about nature, from plants and trees to insects and animals. Her physical fitness and immunity have improved considerably as well. We are incredibly grateful for the teachers’ patient guidance and dedicated teaching, which have instilled in Aurora such a profound appreciation for the natural world."

"Enrolling Ethan in the Weekend Programs at Oak Wisdom Learning has proven to be one of the most rewarding decisions I've made as a parent. Watching him revel in the outdoors, I've been deeply touched by the genuine care and passion shown by the teachers. Ethan has been in the program from 3 to 6 years old and he eagerly anticipates each session and consistently asks when he can return."

“Jackson thoroughly enjoys attending the weekend outdoor program, which he's been doing for over two years now. He relishes the experience, and we appreciate the teacher's professionalism and energy. Jackson has always emerged from the class happy and fulfilled, covered in dirt but with a big smile on his face.”
